Delhi Police reported that more than 40 schools in the nation’s capital received bomb threats via email. “The mail reads -I planted multiple bombs inside (school) buildings. The bombs are small and hidden very well. It will not cause much damage to the building, but many people will be injured when the bombs detonate. If I do not receive $30,000 I will detonate the bombs.” said Delhi Police. Meanwhile, the school administrations have sent the students back home, while the police and Fire Department have also been informed at 7 am.
Among these, five schools that received these threats are Delhi Public School in Vasant Kunj at 7:06 am and in R.K. Puram, G.D. Goenka School at 6:15 and Doon Public School in Paschim Vihar, and Brilliant’s Convent School in Pitampura.
A team of Delhi Fire Service rushed to the spot. The police, bomb disposal squad, dog squad along with DFS all reached and checked the premises
