Today, Home Minister Amit Shah said he was confident that the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance would win a record number of seats in the next Maharashtra Assembly elections, during a rally in the Dhule district. Shah also expressed hope that the BJP will have the unwavering support of Maharashtra’s “Ladli Behnas,” or beloved sisters, in the upcoming elections.
Shah is set to address three rallies in Shindkheda, Chalisgaon and Jintur. While addressing, HM Amit Shah says, “Aghadi (Maha Vikas Aghadi) only wants to do appeasement. To gain power, Uddhav ji has forgotten all the principles of Balasaheb Thackeray. Uddhav Babu, who are you sitting with today? Today, you are with those who objected to the renaming of Aurangabad, the construction of Ram temple, the abrogation of Article 370 and also to surgical strike against Pakistan.”
He attacks Uddhav Thackeray and said, “You are sitting with those who call Hindus terrorists.” He is also criticizes that there are two clear sides in front of people of Maharashtra – Aghadi, which is the Aurangzeb fan club, and the other is Mahayuti which is following principles of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Savarkar.
He further cleared that if even Smt. Indira Gandhi would have returned, there would have been on change in Article 370 and it’s not going to be restored. Article 370, which granted special status to the erstwhile state Jammu and Kashmir, was abrogated on August 5, 2019.
Taking a dig on Congress leader, Sushil Kumar Shinde’s statement that he was scared during his visit to Srinagar’s Lal Chowk when he was the Union home minister, Shah said, “Shinde ji, go to Kashmir now along with your grandkids, no harm will come to you.”
Charging Rahul Gandhi Shah clarified that Rahul should remember that even if his “fourth generation were to come”, Muslims won’t get reservations meant for SCs, STs and OBCs. His statement comes amid a quota conflict in the poll-bound state.
