Today PM Narendra Modi inaugurates AIIMS and other few projects of whopping Rs. 12,100 crore, he applauded the people for casting votes towards Vikshit Bharat. He added that the current project of the health fraternity will not only benefit Bihar but also nearby places Mithila, Kosi, Tirhut, West Bengal, and Nepal. All his praise was for Mr. Nitish Kumar, whose willingness to have an alliance with the BJP and framing good governance has made all this possible.
Highlighting the importance of Ayushman Bharat, where people above 70 years of age are beneficiaries, which accounts to crores of patients to the opening of 5 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Mr. Modi claimed that 100,000 new medical seats have been established, with initiatives in progress to introduce an additional 75,000 seats over the next five years. He said that even efforts will be made to pursue medical studies in Hindi too.
Upcoming cancer facilities at Muzaffarpur and Shankar Eye Hospital are on the way. Besides, the Prime Minister officially inaugurated and commenced the construction of several national highway projects in Bihar, with an investment of approximately Rs 5,070 crore. Sonenagar Bypass Railway line from Chiralapothu to Bagha Bishunpur in Aurangabad district of Bihar worth over Rs 220 crore was also inaugurated.
18 Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras at various railway stations across India will also ease people from buying expensive medicines. In five significant districts of Bihar—Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Sitamarhi, and Sheohar—in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mr. PM inaugurated the foundation for the establishment of a City Gas Distribution (CGD). He also laid the foundation stone for a bitumen manufacturing unit of Barauni Refinery of Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
