A Man with a Golden Heart, Michelin-Star for six consecutive years since 2011, Chef Vikas Khanna celebrates his birthday today. Besides being an Indian chef, he is also a restaurateur, cookbook writer, filmmaker and humanitarian.
Currently, based in New York City by the name “Bungalow” in 2024. The entrepreneurial journey started in 2019, when he opened a restaurant called “Kinara in Dubai”, and followed by “Ellora” in Dubai in 2020.
His journey was not a smooth ride. Since childhood, he had a leg deformity and could not even run until 13 yrs. of age. He hails from Amritsar and later on went to do hotel management from Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Working with top brands like Taj, Oberoi, Welcome, and Leela Group of Hotels. He got a chance to work with Food Stalwarts like Gordon Ramsay, Eric Ripert, Bobby Flay and Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
Hosting seven seasons of Master Chef India, four seasons of the show Twist of Taste and being invited as Celebrity Guest Judge in MasterChef Australia 7, Hell’s Kitchen and many more.
