It seems that facing defeat has made Congress impulsive. Congress alleged foul play in the conduct of polls. “We don’t want EVMs, we want ballot paper,” he said at the party’s Constitution Day event at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium. Supporting him, Congress’ Maharashtra observer and Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara even alleged “selective EVM” hacking in the state.

Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge reaffirmed the party’s demand that ballot paper voting be used in place of electronic voting machines (EVMs) following the INDIA bloc’s loss in the Haryana and Maharashtra Assembly elections. This mindset of Congress is not new, earlier too they have held the voting system, for losing the election.

Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole further added that the fair voting cannot be while voting through EVM. Earlier, they have even gone to the Supreme Court for justice, but any evidence or proof is not there, so, the court wants proof.
