Today Supreme Court reacted to Petitioner-in-person, K. A. Paul , the bench questioned his involvement in political matters. Justice Vikram Nath and Justice PB Varale remarked while dismissing the PIL, pointed out that this is not fair to do. They made a significant remark that when one wins, then the victory is accepted while if lost, allegations are made.
Seeking the defeat in Maharashtra and Haryana elections, Congress now is fuming in anger. The election results of Maharashtra and Haryana have greatly disappointed them. The Supreme Court stated on Tuesday that when people win, the election EVMs (electronic voting machines) are not tampered with, dismissing a public interest litigation (PIL) , calling for the return of ballot paper voting in elections.
The petitioner said that since other nations had switched to ballot paper voting, India ought to do the same. Also, he said that money was distributed in false practices. To this, the bench replied “Why don’t you want to be different from the rest of the world?” asked the bench.
Any corruption can just not be resolved by introducing Ballot Paper again. This was not a solution and the allegations made had to be proved. The Supreme Court rejected all by stating that no proof was given in favour of allegations made.
