Recently, a few days before Hindu Monk Chinmoy Krishna Das got arrested just because he was raising his words for minorities in Bangladesh and continuously making pressure on Dr. Muhammad Yunus Government.

Since 1971 minorities have been attacked continuously in Bangladesh. Why? just because they are Hindus, Chakma or Buddhists and obviously they are Non-Muslim. It is the attack not only on religion, it is on humanity, sovereignty and law and order of the country. What are the faults of those people and where?

Let’s see some facts where we all can find out the several reasons why the people have been under attack since 1971? Each and every year at the time of Navaratri or Durga Puja, extremists always attacked the pandals, vandalized the idols of Maa Durga. Not only this, those extremists also set fire at Hindu’s residence. They killed minorities by doing all this heinous crime. Now the question is who is responsible for this massacre? The reason is the empathy of the Yunus Government. Still that government of Bangladesh didn’t take any proper action or solution to stop this. Here the picture is clear i.e. the government always partially supports the same. Maybe sometimes the government issued official statements to stop these activities but it was in words not in action.

Now, the second question is where will these minority people go? Should they die or be converted into another religion i.e. Muslim. Why didn’t the Bangladesh government still implement the rule to stop religion conversion? Nobody is there to listen to the words of the minority people of Bangladesh. This thing has been going on continuously since 1971 and still no solution is there just because of the apathy of the Bangladesh government. If I see then I must say from Sheikh Muzibar Rehman to Sheikh Hasina or BNP’s Khaleda Zia never bothered about this situation. They didn’t try to establish the humanity of minorities actually.

This is true that they have several times requested the extremists to maintain peace and said that all religions are respected but only in words not in action which I say again and again. One more interesting thing is that every comment came after a few days when the minority people were killed or their property was demolished. And even those people never get arrested because they always receive the support from the administration and every time they get a chance to fly away. So how can the minority people get the chance to survive there. Yes, it is also a question of survival! If these things are continuously going on then the day is not much far away when the entire Bangladesh will be free from the minority people.

Is the Bangladesh government arrogant? My answer is yes, now I am explaining why the government is so rigid. From India to the USA or the UN also several times told them to take proper action. Not only this they have sent several representatives to check out the scenario but the Bangladesh government is still the same because they are not bothered about the Hindus or other minorities. Actually they also want the same because it is impossible to do these types of heinous activities without support from the administration of the Bangladesh government. The Government of India also took several actions to stop these heinous activities against minorities.

We have to remember that when former External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj went there and reconstructed the Shaktipeeth of Maa Durga called Dhakeshwari Temple in Dhaka but the situation never changed. Why are these things continuously happening? Why are they being attacked or killed again and again? There is an only answer i.e. NO. The Government of Bangladesh doesn’t know where the country’s sovereignty is gone? Why can’t they make any proper decision to work on it? Yes, the answer is fundamentalism. Those people are blind, they can’t see humanity, they forget the relationship between religions. Those mean minded extremists only know how to demolish the minorities and yes they want to dominate and establish over the minority people.

Let’s have a look at the data, at the time of the 1971 liberation war the percentage of Hindu people was 22.5% and now it is 8% where the Muslim population was 85% and now it is 92%. So where is the politics and policy of the government of Bangladesh? Is it possible to run a country by any government just based on religion? I must say NO, because when it happens then the progress of the country will definitely collapse. Any religion should not be the base of any country. From internal security to local administration will definitely deteriorate if is going on. Here I am giving an example, I don’t have to go several years back. Just presenting you how Former PM Sheikh Hasina escaped from Bangladesh and after that we all know what happened there and again the minorities got attacked by the extremists. Is there any reason behind the escape of the Former PM Hasina which is related to Hindus? Obviously not, the reason was the internal security and policy of the government and that’s why any country can’t progress on the basis of religion.

Recently, a few days before Hindu Monk Chinmoy Krishna Das got arrested just because he was raising his words for minorities in Bangladesh and continuously making pressure on Dr. Muhammad Yunus Government. After that the government put him into jail forcefully and started torture to other minority people. The cruel mentality against minorities of Yunus Government came in front of the world. The Government of India also gave several statements to the Yunus Government to protect Hindus, other minorities, temples and places of worship in Bangladesh as early as possible. The Indian government also showed deep concern over attacking to Hindus. These abominable and heinous activities must be stopped in Bangladesh and the UN should send their humanitarian assistance for the people.

Now at the end, I want to say that there should be a policy for the minority people which will provide them proper security and help them to survive and a different ministry for minorities. The present interim government of Dr. Muhammad Yunus must focus, implement and improve the situation for minorities. Yes one more thing that is we should not forget the vision of Rabindranath Tagore who taught us how to live together through his journey.
