Prime Minister Narendra Modi will watch The Sabarmati Report today. According to officials, the Prime Minister will see the Vikrant Massey film at the Parliament Library Building’s Balayogi Auditorium.
The film explores the catastrophic Godhra train fire tragedy on February 27, 2002, and stars Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra, and Raashii Khannain in important parts. In the tragedy, a fire inside the Sabarmati Express near theGodhra railway station in Gujarat, India, killed 59 Hindu pilgrims’ and karsevaks returning from Ayodhya on the morning of February 27, 2002.
The Prime Minister had applauded the film for shedding light on the events leading to the Godhra tragedy, stating that “a fake narrative can only persist for a limited period.”.
