BJP National Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa condemned this attack, and said “Shocking and condemnable! An attack on Sukhbir Singh Badal in the sacred premises of Sri Harmandir Sahib is not just a security lapse but a grave breach of the sanctity of our religious institutions.” He also blamed Punjab government that the ruling government has failed to ensure the safety of citizens and uphold the dignity of holy places.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shehzad Poonawalla charged State Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal were “directly responsible” for the incident. He added that he condemned the attack, disrupting law and order in the state.
He held Mann and Kejriwal for this conspiracy. After investigation, things will be clear, he said. Opposition leaders blamed and held responsible the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab over a security breach at Golden Temple premises. Sukhbir Singh Badal, the leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal, almost escaped being shot outside Amritsar’s Golden Temple.
