A threat to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi was received by Mumbai police on Saturday. The threat was sent through WhatsApp to the traffic police early morning. The message unveiled a plot including two ISI agents and a plan to carry a bomb blast.
The number through which the message was sent was traced to be from Ajmer, Rajasthan. The police has left for the place for further investigation. The identity of the person who sent the message has not been revealed yet.
The police official believes that the sender could be a mentally disturbed person or could have been under the influence of alcohol.
An FIR has been registered according to the appropriate sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
