Syrian Rebels Find Hidden Tunnel Network Beneath Assad’s Palace. Assad fled away from Damascus on Sunday along with his family marking an end to decades of Assad’s family regime in Syria.
A video message has gone viral on social media claiming it to be the video of the tunnel under Assad’s palace.
Footage allegedly from Assad’s palace reveals a door followed by stairs leading to another door, which ends in a large corridor consisting of different ventilated rooms, a kitchen, and metallic doors among others.
A pile of boxes, plastic bags, briefcases, drawers, and bags, expected to contain precious items, has also been found in one room.
It is believed that the Free Syrian Army (FSA) uncovered the tunnel beneath Assad’s place after he ran away from Damascus ordering a peaceful transition of power.
