The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday urging him to ‘expunge derogatory’ comments made against him by BJP MPs.
Rahul said that the Speaker had assured him that these statements would be examined. He further informed that the Congress would like the House to run and hold discussions on the Constitution on 13th December as decided. He also assured that he would make sure the House runs, despite this not being his responsibility.
Rahul also denied having any connections with American billionaire George Soros. He called this a tactic by the BJP to divert everyone’s attention from the Adani issue.
