Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray said on Friday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should notify Parliament about the actions the Indian government is taking to protect Hindus in Bangladesh. Thackeray attacked the BJP during a press conference in Mumbai, accusing it of using Hindutva for electoral purposes.
He said temples are being vandalized in Bangladesh, where minority Hindus have endured violent attacks in recent months. Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is safe in India, but what about Hindus in neighboring countries?
Thackeray asked. “PM Modi should inform Parliament about steps India is taking to protect Hindus in Bangladesh,” he added. Parliament is presently winning.
