Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and demanded a meeting to discuss concerns over peace and order in Delhi.

The AAP convenor has expressed worry, pointing out that, despite the fact that Delhi’s law and order are under the responsibility of the federal government, the city is increasingly being seen as the “crime capital” of India and worldwide.

In a letter to Home Minister Shah, Kejriwal stated, “Delhi’s law and order are under the Central Government, but Delhi is now being known as the capital of crime.”

He mentioned alarming figures, such as Delhi’s number one rating in crimes against women and murders among India’s 19 main metropolises.

Furthermore, Kejriwal observed an increase in extortion gangs, bomb threats at airports and schools, and a 350% spike in drug-related crimes, all of which have contributed to rising security worries among citizens.

Kejriwal stated that the figures speak eloquently about the deteriorating law and order situation in the national capital. Kejriwal stated that he was reaching out to people and found that they were really concerned about law and order.

“Now people are wondering whether they don’t deserve better law and order condition in the national capital?” he replied.” While requesting a date for the meeting with Shah, Kejriwal said the necessity of the hour is to get the city’s law and order situation back on track by rising beyond party politics.
