Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in February 2024 that the country is close to creating cancer vaccines, which could be available to patients soon. The vaccine is said to be personalized for each individual and type of cancer, making it a groundbreaking development in cancer treatment.

While the exact details of the vaccine are yet to be disclosed, the development is a significant step forward in the fight against cancer. With nearly 10 million people dying from cancer annually, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), this breakthrough could potentially save countless lives. Clinical trials for the vaccine are expected to begin in mid-2025.
