Union Home minister Amit shah fired back at Congress over the Ambedkar controversy calling the congress party “anti-ambedkar, anti-reservation, and anti-constitution”.

He accused the congress party of altering his statement as per their convenience they even altered Modi’s speeches at parliament. Shah requested the media to put his full version of statement in front of people. He also mentioned that he come from the party which follows the ideals of Ambedkar.

He brought up the how congress disrespected the Army and women, and even broke up the country and gave it to foreign powers. this truth triggered the congress party hence they distorted the facts and misled people yesterday.

Shah countered to Mallikarjun Kharge’s demand to his resign by saying, “Kharge was asking for my resignation. If it will make him happy then I will do it willingly but it won’t end his problems. 15 years later he would still be sitting in opposition my resignation won’t change that”.

He also threatened the congress and other parties that BJP will examine all legal options to sue them “Inside and outside of the Parliament” for allegedly editing his speech and misleading the people and harming his reputation.

Prime Minister Narender Modi in Shah’s defence accused the congress of spreading malicious lies and disrespecting Ambedkar’s legacy. Modi also listed several grievances where congress disrespected Ambedkar including denying him the Bharat Ratna and refusing to display his potrait in parliament’s central hall.

The controversy has led to war of words between BJP and Congress with both of them accusing each other of disrespecting ambedkar and his legacy. The issue is likely to be brought up in parliament again by the opposition.
