Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with a warm welcome by the Indian diaspora in Kuwait. Modi admired their energy and love; he said their unwavering connection to India is truly inspiring.

He began exploring the Gulf Nations to strengthen bilateral ties by promoting people-to-people connections. He got invitation of Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-sabah to visit Kuwait.
PM Modi met with 101-year-old Shri Mangal Sain Handa ji, a former Indian foreign service officer in Kuwait. The Prime Minister also praised ex-IFS Mangal Handa for his remarkable contributions to India and his enduring passion for the country’s development.
PM Modi’s visit to Kuwait marks a significant step towards strengthening India and Kuwait’s bilateral ties. His interactions with Abdullateef Alnesef and Abdullah Al Baron, the publisher and translator of Indian epics in Arabic, demonstrate Modi’s commitment to fostering good connections with the global Indian community.
This visit is also expected to further deepen the cooperation between India and Kuwait in various sectors including trade, energy, culture etc.
