AAP launched a vicious attack on the Congress, claiming that it was conspiring with the BJP to undermine the chances of the Arvind Kejriwal-led party in the impending Delhi Assembly elections.
At a press conference, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh claimed that the Congress’s actions were undermining the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’s unity.
Singh stated that during the Haryana election, they didn’t say a word against the Congress. However, it appears that the Congress is following the BJP’s lead. Its list of candidates appears to have been finalized at the BJP office. He charged that rather than concentrating on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress leaders Ajay Maken and Sandeep Dixit were attacking the AAP.
Ajay Maken’s accusation of Arvind Kejriwal being anti-national has gone too far. Although Kejriwal ran for the Congress in previous elections, he is now facing a formal complaint, but the Congress had never brought a formal complaint against a BJP leader, Singh stated. Atishi expressed similar views, asserting that Congress is deliberately sabotaging the AAP.
“The BJP’s support for Congress candidates like Sandeep Dixit and Farhad Suri is visible. She remarked, “This collusion calls into question the Congress’s commitment to the INDIA alliance.”
The AAP threatened to fight for the removal of the grand old party from the INDIA bloc if no disciplinary action was taken against Maken and other Congress officials within the next 24 hours. “We will ask the other parties in the alliance to remove the Congress,” Singh stated. In February, the Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled.
