The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) declared that Abd al-Hadi Sabah, a Nukhba Platoon commander within Hamas’ Western Khan Yunis Battalion, was executed in a recent drone strike. Sabah was recognized as a pivotal figure behind the attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7, 2023, bloodbath.

IDF reported that the strike was carried out in the Khan Yunis region of southern Gaza and was based on precise intelligence. IDF in its post on X stated, “Abd al-Hadi Sabah, a Nukhba Platoon Commander in the Western Khan Yunis Battalion, was killed in an intelligence-based IDF and ISA strike.”

The IDF further disclosed that Sabah had been functioning from a shelter within a humanitarian area in Khan Yunis. IDF clarified, “He was one of the orchestrators of the infiltration into Kibbutz Nir Oz during the brutal October 7 Massacre and had led multiple terrorist attacks against IDF forces during the ongoing conflict.”

The IDF and ISA reasserted their promise to target people involved in the October 7 attack, stating that they would continuously aim to target all those who were responsible for the slaughter.

Earlier, the IDF stated that its units were working with the Shin Bet (Israel’s General Security Service) and eliminated 14 Hamas terrorists, six of whom had participated in the October 7 genocides. These operations were executed as part of the IDF’s 162nd “Steel” Division’s ongoing operation in the Gaza Strip.

The 162nd Division executed in the areas of Jabalia and Beit Lahia as part of the joint operation of the IDF and Shin Bet to locate and kill terrorists who participated in the October 7 attack.

The October 7 attack by Hamas marked a tragic event in the conflict, with over 1,200 Israeli victims and more than 250 hostages taken. While Israel has since launched a significant counterstrike targeting Hamas units in Gaza, the response has resulted in over 45,000 Palestinian deaths, raising world concerns about the humanitarian loss.

The conflict has heightened further, with Iran-supported groups such as Hezbollah from Lebanon and Houthi rebels from Yemen raising their offensives against Israel. This has obliged Tel Aviv to respond to the challenges of a multi-front war, aggravating regional tensions and intensifying global calls for a ceasefire.
