Bengaluru City Civil Court has granted bail to Nikita Singhania, Nisha Singhania, and Anurag Singhania in connection with the suicide case of Bengaluru technician Atul Shubash. The three of them were arrested on 15th December under charges of mental harassment leading to suicide.
A 34-year-old Atul Subhash technician was found hanging in his apartment on December 10. He left behind a 24-page suicide note describing the hardships he faced, mental harassment by his wife and in-laws, multiple police complaints filed by his wife and others, the court case, the judge’s bias towards Nikita Singhania, Nikita Singhania keeping him away from their son, and his final wishes.
However, Nikita Singhania has denied the claims of harassment. She claimed that she was staying away from Atul for almost three years. The police are still investigating the case, and the role of Sushil Singhania, a relative of Nikita, is still unclear, and efforts are being made to find out his whereabouts.
Nikita, Nisha, and Anurag are named as the prime accused in the case, with Nikita Singhania being the accused no. 1, Nisha Singhania as accused no. 2, and Anurag Singhania as accused no. 3. The court has granted bail to the three of them, which brought a wave of relief over the family, but the case is far from over.
