Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple railway projects on January 6th at 12:30 PM via video conferencing. This move aims to boost connectivity in the region, with a focus on improving infrastructure and promoting socio-economic development.
Key Projects:
Jammu Railway Division: This new division will comprise 742.1 km of track, covering Pathankot, Jammu, Udhampur, Srinagar, Baramulla, Bhogpur Sirwal, Batala, and Joginder Nagar sections. The project is expected to create employment opportunities, promote tourism, and enhance connectivity between Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of India.
Charlapalli New Terminal Station: Located in Telangana’s Medchal-Malkajgiri District, this new terminal has been developed at a cost of around Rs 413 crore. The environment-friendly terminal features good passenger amenities and will help ease congestion on existing coaching terminals in the city.
Rayagada Railway Division Building: The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for this project, which aims to improve connectivity in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and nearby areas. The project is expected to lead to overall socio-economic development in the region.
