Israel’s Prime Minister’s office has denied receiving a list of the 34 hostages to be released by Hamas as part of the truce and ceasefire agreement.
Israel and Gaza have been engaged in negotiations in Qatar, with Egypt, Qatar, and the United States acting as mediators. Hamas further clarified that a ceasefire would be declared once Israel confirms a permanent ceasefire and withdraws from Gaza.
As per the negotiations, Hamas agreed to release 34 hostages, including women, children, men aged between 50 and 85, and sick captives. Hamas had requested additional time to assess the condition of the captives, as this group includes both living and deceased hostages.
Israel and the Hamas-led Palestinian militant group have been engaged in armed conflict since October 2023, resulting in thousands of lives lost.
