Armed rebels charged a police checkpost in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province and also enflamed the machinery and equipment of a cement factory in the region before evading the scene, authorities reported. The incident took place on Thursday in Mastung town.
A police official reported that the attack occurred at a time when the security personnel were switching at the checkpost, and the armed insurgents seized guns, ammunition, wireless sets, and motorcycles before putting equipment in the cement factory on fire.
The armed rebels had escaped well before security personnel reached the scene. Police confirm that there was no loss of life in the attack.
