‘Built After Centuries Of Sacrifice, Penance And Struggle’: PM Modi Extends Greetings On Ram Mandir Anniversary

PM Modi expressed confidence that the Ram Temple will inspire India's development, saying it will "become a great inspiration in the accomplishment of the resolution of a developed India."

On January 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted people on the first anniversary of the consecration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

According to hindi calendar, the consecration has completed one year today. PM Modi said that the Ram temple, built after centuries of penance and struggle, is a great heritage of country’s culture and spirituality. “Heartiest congratulations to all the countrymen on the first anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This temple, built through centuries of sacrifice, penance, and struggle, is a great heritage of our culture and spirituality. I am confident that this divine and grand Ram Temple will serve as a significant inspiration in fulfilling the resolution of a developed India,” he said in a post on X.

The main ceremony will begin today, where Ram Lalla will be anointed with ‘Panchamrit’ and sacred water from the Saryu, a procedure followed during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony last year.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and district administration are making elaborate arrangements for the first anniversary celebrations, which mark a year since Ram Lalla was permanently seated inside the Ram temple.

The celebrations will continue until Jan 13. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the celebrations and perform the consecration.
