PM Modi Meets Prez Macron Ahead Of AI Summit In Paris

French President Emmanuel Macron embraced Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday during a dinner in Paris before the AI Summit. “Delighted to meet my friend, President Macron in Paris,” Modi posted on social media.

Modi also met US Vice President JD Vance, who is attending the AI Summit in France, during the dinner. The Prime Minister’s Office officially confirmed it.

When Modi arrived, he was greeted by Macron, and they briefly spoke before beginning their conversation. With discussions on technology, artificial intelligence, and strategic cooperation, the visit aims to improve ties between France and India.

Both Modi and Macron will co-chair the AI Action Summit, where they will discuss AI developments with world leaders and business executives. The opening of India’s first consulate in Marseille is part of the visit.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi arrived in Paris for the first part of his two-nation tour. He will speak with Macron, meet with business executives, and co-chair the AI Action Summit during his three-day stay in France.

The Indian diaspora in Paris embraced him. “A welcome in Paris to remember! This evening, the Indian community showed their love despite the cold weather. He expressed gratitude to our diaspora and pride in their achievements.

Modi and Macron will speak at the India-France CEO’s Forum and engage in both delegation and restricted talks.

In his farewell message, Modi stated that he would be visiting “his friend” Macron to discuss the status of the 2047 Horizon Roadmap for the strategic partnership between France and India. PM Modi is in France for the sixth time.
