Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia have been contacted by Mumbai Police. In the India’s Got Latent scandal, the police have requested that they collaborate and give their side of the story to the investigating officer.
Both of them have been asked by the police to come before the investigating officer and give their side of the story. This comes after the show caused a lot of controversy and led to legal action.
Following a formal request from the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), YouTube removed the most recent episode of India’s Got Latent in reaction to the escalating issue. The episode was removed when the NHRC expressed concerns about the video’s objectionable material and abusive language.
Some YouTube channels were accused in a complaint filed with the NHRC of using abusive language and pushing content that was damaging to young viewers, especially content that was offensive to women and contained racist statements about specific Indian ethnic groups.
NHRC member Priyank Kanoongo stated, “We have issued a notice to YouTube, demanding the removal of such content and for concerned police authorities to begin penal action against those involved.”
Widespread indignation resulted from the heated comments made by Beer Biceps, whose real name is Ranveer Allahbadia, regarding parents and sex during the show. A Guwahati resident filed a police report after the Samay Raina-hosted episode, accusing the participants of encouraging obscenity in a publicly viewable internet program.
YouTuber and podcaster BeerBiceps, whose real name is Ranveer Allahbadia, has been embroiled in controversy after making offensive comments while appearing on comedian Samay Raina’s India’s Got Talent show.
