In a momentous occasion marking the expansion of BNW, a UAE-based company, Managing Director Vivek Anand Oberoi inaugurated the firm’s new office in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi. The event was not only a celebration of business growth but also a reflection of Oberoi’s personal journey from the glitz of Mumbai’s film industry to the thriving business landscape of Dubai.
Before addressing the media and guests, Oberoi took a moment to offer prayers at the temple located within the office premises, emphasizing the spiritual foundation that guides his life and work. He expressed his regret over the absence of his business partner, Ankur Agarwal, who was unable to attend due to prior business commitments.
During his interactions with investors, media representatives, and guests, Oberoi expressed his deep appreciation for both Dubai and Mumbai. “Both cities feel like home to me. Dubai has showered me with love that is beyond words, while Mumbai was where I first found fame and financial success,” he said.
He credited his achievements to divine guidance, stating, “When you surrender your journey to God, He leads you to your destination.” Oberoi’s business acumen has not gone unnoticed, as he has attracted top investors from around the globe and formed partnerships with leading brands in Dubai.
His portfolio includes several fintech companies, showcasing his versatility and understanding of modern business trends. Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Oberoi is also committed to social causes, actively participating in the operations of an NGO.
When asked about his transition from the Indian Box Office (IBO) to Initial Public Offerings (IPO) and real estate ventures, Oberoi attributed his success to the values instilled in him by his parents.
“From a young age, I learned the importance of honesty, hard work, and dedication. My family and I are deeply spiritual, and we always express gratitude for the blessings we have received,” he stated. He elaborated on his daily routine, which begins with prayers at home, underscoring the significance of spirituality in his professional life.
Oberoi shared that he now leads a team of approximately 400 individuals in the UAE, whom he considers family. “The success of our ventures is a collective effort, and I am proud to say that we have nine companies registered with SEBI, with plans to register four more in the coming months,” he revealed.
The company currently boasts around 20 luxury real estate projects in Dubai, with a net worth exceeding ₹1200 crores. He noted that the trust investors place in their projects is so strong that many properties are sold even before they are completed.
Reflecting on his film career, Oberoi recounted a time of personal struggle, stating, “There were moments when tears would fill my eyes, and my mother would remind me to wipe away the tears of others. By helping others, my own troubles would fade.”
He emphasized the importance of maintaining trust, vowing never to betray the confidence of his investors and clients. In response to a question about the relentless pursuit of wealth, Oberoi shared a poignant perspective.
“The desire to earn more is an endless passion. No matter how many zeros you add to your wealth, it’s crucial to remember not to lose your essence in the process,” he advised, highlighting the importance of maintaining one’s values amidst the pursuit of success.
As BNW embarks on this new chapter in Lajpat Nagar, Vivek Anand Oberoi’s journey serves as an inspiring testament to the power of hard work, integrity, and a strong sense of community.
With ambitious plans for the future and a commitment to social responsibility, Oberoi is poised to make a lasting impact in both the business world and society at large.
