The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two individuals, identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Jothar and Bashir Ahmad Jothar, in connection with the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. The duo is accused of providing shelter, food, and logistical support to the terrorists involved in the assault.
The arrests were made during an ongoing investigation into the incident that targeted security forces in the region. The arrests were made under Section 19 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, which deals with harboring terrorists.
According to the NIA, the two men and others supported the attackers. During their interrogation, they disclosed that three of the attackers were members of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a Pakistan-based terrorist group.
This revelation adds to growing concerns over cross-border terrorist involvement and highlights the need for deeper investigation into support networks operating within the region. Authorities are continuing their probe to identify additional individuals who may have aided the attackers.
