Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and MP Sanjay Singh opened up on growing tensions with Congress an ally in the INDIA bloc, on Thursday. Atishi remarked that the ‘great old party’ siding with the BJP for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections scheduled in February next year.
Atishi accused Congress leader Ajay Maken of calling Arvind Kejriwal “anti-national” and questioned why similar accusations were not directed towards any BJP leaders. She further said that Congress filed an FIR against AAP on Wednesday and further she dared them to file a case against BJP. She further alleged that the BJP is funding Congress candidates, naming Sandeep Dikshit specifically, and claimed that they have found information about an arrangement between Congress and BJP to weaken AAP in Delhi.
In a bold demand, Atishi asked Congress to take action against Ajay Maken within 24 hours if they wished to refuse the allegations of bonding with the BJP. This public exchange highlights a breakdown within the INDIA bloc, which could impact its collective effort against the BJP in upcoming elections.
