Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has officially confirmed that his next action-comedy, Son of Sardaar 2, will hit cinemas nationwide on July 25, 2025. This eagerly awaited sequel marks Devgn’s return in one of his most iconic avatars since the original released in 2012—a film that beautifully blended Punjabi flavours, family drama, and signature humour.
Actress Mrunal Thakur, joining Devgn in the female lead, completes this fresh ensemble. Along with Devgn, the film brings back Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role, while Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, and the late Mukul Dev round out a diverse and dynamic cast.
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and scripted by Punjabi writer Jagdeep Sidhu, Son of Sardaar 2 benefits from notable production houses including Devgn’s own Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and T-Series. Himesh Reshammiya takes charge of the soundtrack, infusing the film with his signature upbeat and catchy music style.
