Amit Shah Slams Kejriwal For Building ‘Sheesh Mahal’ Over Delhi Infrastructure

Continuing the war of words between PM Narendra Modi and AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah alleged Delhi’s former CM have built a ‘Sheesh Mahal worth Rs 45 crores.

Inaugurating a working women’s hostel in Central Delhi, Sushma Bhavan, Home mInister Amit Shah criticized Kejriwal for not following his vision of a corruption-free lifestyle.

Shah mentioned that before coming to power Kejriwal had vowed not to use a government car or bungalow and instead embark on a new kind of politics and stressed on his failure to do so.

Without explicitly referring to Kejriwal’s residence at 6, Flagstaff Road, Shah alleged him to have built a ‘Sheesh Mahal’ spanning over an area of 50,000 square yards of land utilizing Rs 45 crores of Delhiites’ money.

He also claimed that Kejriwal spent Rs 14 crore on a water plant, despite being unable to establish a reliable water supply system for the residents of Delhi.

He accused him of having spent Rs 6 crores on designer marbles, Rs 6 crore on motorized curtains, Rs 70 lakh on automatic doors, Rs 50 lakh on carpets, and Rs 64 lakh on Smart TVs at the chief minister’s residence under the tenure of Kejriwal.

Moreover, Shah highlighted the BJP’s contributions in Delhi since assuming power, which include infrastructure projects worth Rs 68,000 crores encompassing construction of new roads, rail, convention centers, Delhi- Mumbai Expressway, Delhi- Meerut Highway, Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maida Integrated Corridor, Yashobhoomi Complex among others.

Shah also brought to light former foreign minister, Sushma Swaraj’s contributions in the foreign and health ministries. He portrayed her as a ‘fighting opposition leader’ in Parliament.
