Renowned filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi’s gritty vengeance drama Ghaati will mark actor Anushka Shetty’s big-screen comeback. The movie will showcase the Baahubali actress in a never-seen-before avatar. On April 18, 2025, the movie will be released throughout India in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
An eye-catching billboard for the announcement featured Anushka in a fierce attitude, suggesting that she would play a tribal woman on a bloody quest for justice. The recently released 45-second teaser, which refers to the main character as “a victim, a criminal, and a legend.”
Ghaati, which was written by Chintakindi Srinivas Rao and dialogue by Sai Madhav Burra, generated a lot of interest based on the posters and preview. Thota Tharani is the art director, Nagavelli Vidya Sagar is the composer, and Manojh Reddy Katasani is the cinematographer. Under First Frame Entertainment, Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamundi are producing the movie, and UV Creations is presenting the idea.
With Ghaati, Anushka collaborates with UV Creations for the fourth time and reunites with Krish following the 2010 anthology Vedam, which was a career turning point. The romantic comedy Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty, which starred Naveen Polishetty, was Anushka Shetty’s most recent appearance.
