One Nation Party President Senator Pauline Hanson demanded withdrawal of Australia from the World Health Organisation (WHO) as the organisation reveals the Global Pandemic Policy. She claimed that this could endanger the sovereignty of Australia.

Senator Pauline Hanson said, “Her party had been asking for Australia to withdraw from the WHO since 1996, a call now more urgent after the announcement of the organisation’s extended plans to take over the country’s health system and dictate Australian health policy.”

Senator Hanson further said, The WHO has been thrusting hard for a global pandemic treaty that would enable this unelected international body to effectively take over any Australian response to a future pandemic.”

She stated that her party is against Australia signing such an agreement. And stated that as a member of such organisations that do not recognise the sovereignty of Australia, it is of no use.

She said, One Nation won’t stand for Australia signing over its sovereignty by being party to such an agreement. We have no business being a member of a body that does not recognise the Australian people’s ultimate authority over how our country responds to a challenge like COVID-19.”

She also praised Donald Trump for the US withdrawal from WHO. She also suggested that Australia should form diplomatic and economic ties with other countries independently without compromising its sovereignty.

“The United States under President Trump has recognised its best interests do not lie with the WHO. Australia’s best interests lie in charting an independent path too—we can have positive and beneficial diplomatic and trade relationships without unelected international bureaucracies compromising our sovereignty,” she said.

Hanson also called for a review of all its memberships in the international organisations, including the United Nations (UN). She also said that the UN has lost its path and become a stage for repugnant regimes seeking legitimacy. She condemned the UN as a “forum of hatred” and a “tacit supporter.”

She said, Australia should review all of its memberships to bodies like the WHO and the United Nations. Australia may have been one of its original founding members, but the UN has hopelessly lost its way. It’s become a platform for abhorrent regimes to claim legitimacy, a forum of hatred for western countries like Australia, and a tacit supporter of international terrorism.

She questioned the membership of Australia in the other humanitarian organisations. She said, “It’s been said that countries don’t have friends; they have interests. The UNHCR, the UNRWA, and the International Criminal Court—are we a member or a party to these unelected world organisations because it is truly in our nation’s interest?”

She concluded her speech by extending her best wishes to US President Donald Trump to be an inspiration for other nations to put their nation’s interest as a top priority.

She said, I congratulate Mr. Trump for leading by example and putting his nation’s interests before all else. One Nation puts Australia and Australians first.”

This comes after Trump signs executive orders for the withdrawal of the US from WHO, calling that this international organisation failed to act independently from the “inappropriate political influences of its members” on Monday.
