The bail plea hearing of arrested ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari has been postponed for a month after a brutal attack on the lawyer in Chattogram, Bangladesh.

The report of attack on Ramen Roy, lawyer of Chinmoy Das comes hours ahead of the expected hearing of his case on December 3. The bail hearing for Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, which was scheduled to be held on Tuesday at a court in Bangladesh’s Chattogram, has been postponed to January 2 as there was no lawyer to represent him.

Advocate Ramen Roy, the lawyer who is defending Hindu priest Chinmoy Krishna Das, has been brutally attacked in his house by the Islamists on Monday and is in the ICU, battling for life. Radharaman Das who is a spokesperson of ISKCON, Kolkata said,” Roy’s only fault is that he was defending Chinmoy Das. His home was ransacked and he was severely assaulted. Now he is fighting for his life.”
