The opposition Leader of Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, was stopped at the Ghazipur border from going to Sambhal today. He added that he has full constitutional right according to the constitution but the police have stopped him.

He stated that he is even ready to go alone or even accompany police. Rahul said, “Being the leader of the opposition, it is my right to go there, but still I am not being allowed to go.”  He alleged that opposition purposely has defamed Bhim Rao Ambedkar and his principles and aims to end the constitution.

Along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other senior Congress leaders reached the Ghazipur border but were stopped mid-way. He said that the reason to go there was to examine the current scenario of the violence-affected Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh.

The violence occurred on November 24 during the survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid. The team found six cartridges in the drains. One of these empty cartridges was manufactured at the Pakistan Ordnance Factory, as per reports.
