BJP leader Amit Malviya has sparked controversy with a statement criticizing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his actions following the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Malviya alleged that Gandhi politicized and exploited Dr. Singh’s death for his own political gain, showcasing his “contempt” for the late leader.

Amit Malviya said on X, “Rahul Gandhi has flown to Vietnam to ring in the New Year while the country is mourning Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s demise.” Gandhi politicized and took advantage of Dr. Singh’s passing for his own political gain, although he said that the contempt for him was unmistakable.

“Sikhs are hated by the Congress and the Gandhis. Remember that the Darbar Sahib was desecrated by Indira Gandhi,” Malviya continued.

In the middle of grief over Dr. Singh’s death, Rahul Gandhi is rumored to have visited Vietnam to celebrate the New Year. A contentious discussion has been sparked by Malviya’s remarks, with some people critiquing Gandhi for choosing to travel overseas at a period of national grief.

It’s important to remember that Malviya has previously been the subject of controversy due to his tweets, with formal complaints being made against him for allegedly inciting animosity and disparaging Congress leaders. Rahul Gandhi has also been charged by the BJP leader of insulting President Droupadi Murmu at a function.

Questions have been raised over Malviya’s political objectives due to the timing and tone of his speech. It is unclear how this will affect the political climate in the days ahead while the debate rages on.

After a protracted illness, Manmohan Singh, a former prime minister and seasoned Congress leader who was responsible for various revolutionary changes that liberalized the economy, passed away in Delhi on Thursday. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences accepted the 92-year-old famous economist. When it was 9.51 p.m., he was pronounced dead after all attempts to revive him failed.

According to sources, at tomorrow’s cabinet meeting, the administration will declare a seven-day national mourning in honor of the former prime minister. Additionally, the Congress cancelled all of its events for the following seven days.
