Schools Across Delhi Receive Bomb Threat Email
New Delhi was gripped by panic on Saturday, 20 September 2025, after more than 100 schools reported receiving identical bomb threat emails. The message, filled with disturbing language and signed with aliases like “Azurf” and “terrorizers 111,” warned that explosives had been planted on school premises and demanded immediate evacuation or “disarmament” within 24 hours.
The alarming emails arrived in the middle of ongoing mid-term examinations, forcing administrators and teachers to take swift decisions to ensure the safety of students. While police teams were dispatched immediately to conduct extensive searches, the incident triggered widespread fear and disruption across the capital.
Content of the Threat Email
The email was addressed to the “Administration and IT department of all buildings” and contained unsettling statements. The sender, identifying themselves as “the child of evil,” declared:
“I am nothing but the definition of pure hatred, I am the child of evil, my existence makes gods fear me, my presence makes the mundane terrify, I am the untouchable one. My alias go by Azurf, aka owner of terronstic group known by millions, aka terrorizers 111. We have placed bombs around your building. You have 24 hours to disarm the bombs or you will face the blood pool.”
The highly menacing tone and the claim of planted bombs prompted immediate alerts to law enforcement agencies, with school administrations prioritizing evacuation procedures.
Police Response and Ongoing Investigation
Delhi Police confirmed that more than 10 schools initially reported receiving the threats, but the number rapidly rose to over 100 as the day progressed. Specialized bomb disposal squads, along with sniffer dog units, were deployed to conduct searches at all affected schools.
“So far, nothing suspicious has been found,” a police official stated. “However, investigations are ongoing, and cybercrime experts are reviewing the emails to trace their origin.”
Authorities have noted that similar threat emails were received earlier this month, but the senders remain unidentified. The recurring pattern has led investigators to consider whether the same group or individual is behind the latest scare.
Schools Shut, Exams Cancelled
The threat emails disrupted not only academic schedules but also caused major distress among parents and students. Delhi Public School (DPS), Dwarka, was among the first to issue an emergency circular.
In its official notice, DPS declared that classes from III to XII would remain suspended for the day, with all mid-term exams cancelled and rescheduled. The circular emphasized that school buses, vans, and cabs were being sent back immediately and requested parents to be present at drop-off points. Parents who had dropped off their children privately were asked to collect them from school without delay.
Similar steps were taken by multiple other institutions across the city, resulting in thousands of students being sent home early.
Bomb hoax emails have again targeted schools, causing panic.

Parents and Students Distressed
For parents, the incident was both alarming and frustrating. Many expressed concern about repeated hoax emails targeting schools, noting the disruption to academic schedules and the mental toll on children preparing for exams.
“My daughter was about to begin her mathematics paper when the school announced an emergency evacuation,” said one parent outside a South Delhi school. “Even if it turns out to be a hoax, you cannot take chances when it comes to children’s safety.”
Students, too, were left shaken by the sudden chaos. While younger children struggled to understand the situation, older students worried about their exams being postponed indefinitely.
Larger Implications and Next Steps
Experts warn that even false threats of this scale can paralyze the education system and create an atmosphere of fear. Repeated incidents also place a burden on law enforcement, which must deploy large resources for each alert.
Delhi Police has assured that cyber teams are working intensively to identify the source of the emails, including tracking IP addresses and analyzing digital signatures. The Ministry of Education has also been briefed and is considering issuing nationwide guidelines to schools on how to handle such threats.
As the city waits for answers, the incident serves as a chilling reminder of how easily digital tools can be misused to spread fear. For now, school authorities are focusing on rescheduling exams and restoring a sense of normalcy for students.
