Bomb threats have been made against a number of Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees and White House Team for two days. The threats were made on both Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The FBI claimed to be aware of “swatting incidents” and “numerous bomb threats,” which are fictitious calls intended to draw authorities to the target’s residence.
At least nine Trump-selected officials were threatened, including his choice for US ambassador to the UN and the heads of the Departments of Defense, Housing, Agriculture, and Labor. Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s defense secretary, Elise Stefanik, a Republican congresswoman of New York and Trump’s pick for US ambassador to the United Nations, The home of Howard Lutnick, Trump’s choice for commerce secretary, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, whom Trump chose to lead the Department of Labor, and former New York congressman Lee Zeldin, who has been tapped to lead the Environment.
All of them have faced weird situations still, the investigations are on. Earlier it was a bit difficult to trace whether it was hoax calls but afterwards, it was clear that the real bomb was not planted. A wave of bomb threats also occurred during the election campaign, with election officials and their offices often targeted. Politicians across the United States were whacked over Christmas last year. Though some Democrats were also targeted, the majority were Republicans.
