California Wildfires: Thousands Evacuated As3 Winds Fuel Los Angeles Blazes

A devastating fire in Eaton has claimed two lives, while multiple firefighters and civilians have been injured in four raging wildfires, with rescue efforts currently underway.

Multiple wildfires in the Los Angeles area have caused immense destruction prompting the evacuation of around 80,000 people as the gusty wind propels leading to 2 deaths, destruction of 10,000 structures, and several blazes in the Los Angeles region.

2 people have been killed due to the Eaton fire while numerous firefighters and civilians have been reported injured due to the four wildfires.

Los Angeles has been hit in the northwest with powerful winds resulting in the explosion of the Palisades fire in size. Around 30,000 people of the affluent Palisades areas were forced to evacuate the region. The region is also burning with the Eaton, Hurst, and the Woodly Fire.

Palisades fire, the first wildfire, was reported at 10:30 am on Tuesday morning near the Pacific Palisades neighborhood on Los Angeles’ Westside and has grown to an area of 2,921 acres with more than 10,300 homes threatened to blaze.

The second wildfire, the Eaton fire broke out Tuesday night in the hills above Altadena, a community in northern Los Angeles County spread over an area of 1,000 acres.

The third wildfire, the Hurst fire exploded late Tuesday night in the Sylmar neighborhood of Los Angeles spanning hundreds of acres.

Woodley fire, the fourth wildfire was reported around 6:15 am on Wednesday from North Woodley Avenue near the Sepulveda Basin. It covers an area of 75 acres.

The wildfires have spread to more than 5,000 acres with zero containment. Evacuation orders have been provided to around 30,000 residents while more than 200,000 people are without power in the region.
