Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the significance of Maha Kumbh 2025, set to take place in Prayagraj from January 13, 2025. He emphasized that this event is a celebration of India’s unity and diversity, attracting crores of devotees from across the country and the world.
Modi underscored the unique aspect of Maha Kumbh, which brings together people from diverse backgrounds, castes, and traditions. He noted that the event will feature lakhs of saints, thousands of traditions, hundreds of sects, and numerous akharas, all united without any discrimination. Modi described this scene as one of unparalleled unity and diversity.
The Prime Minister shared his personal experience of visiting Maha Kumbh, expressing joy and awe at the grandeur of the event. He termed it the “Maha Kumbh of unity,” emphasizing its role in strengthening the mantra of unity.
Modi urged citizens to resolve to eradicate division and hatred from society, highlighting the message of Maha Kumbh, “The whole country should be united, just like the uninterrupted flow of the Ganga.”
This year’s Maha Kumbh will also feature a digital component, with devotees able to access information through an AI-powered chatbot. The chatbot will provide navigation assistance, helping devotees find temples, ghats, and sadhus’ akharas, as well as parking areas. The AI chatbot will be available in 11 languages, and the entire Mela will be covered by AI-powered cameras to ensure safety and assistance.
PM encouraged citizens to visit Maha Kumbh and upload selfies with the hashtag #EktaKaMahakumbh, promoting unity and celebration.
