Cold Wave Conditions To Hit North India From Tomorrow

IMD Issues Cold Wave Warning for North India, Predicting Freezing Temperatures in Several States from December 29.

The Indian Meteorological Department on Saturday in its daily bulletin on Saturday maintained the commencement of cold wave conditions in North India from tomorrow. IMD has predicted a fall in minimum temperatures by 3-5℃ over Northwest India during the next 2 days & no significant change thereafter.

It mentioned, “Cold wave conditions very likely in isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh during 29th December to 01st January; Punjab and Haryana-Chandigarh during 29th December to 03rd January; over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Rajasthan on 30th & 31st December.”

Warning has been projected for some parts of Himachal Pradesh to experience cold wave to severe cold wave conditions on December 30 and 31 and cold day conditions on December 28.

Cold day conditions are also projected in isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh on 29th; Punjab and Haryana-Chandigarh on 28th; Rajasthan on December 28 and 29.
