On 14 December, the ruling Congress President of Telangana B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said that congress would only have feelings of love for any cinema hero but no ill feelings.
He further said that the cases filed against Allu Arjun are within the purview of law and the court granted him bail. He pointed out that it was Congress the Chief Minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh who was instrumental in the Telugu film industry shifting from Chennai to Hyderabad (in the 1980s).
Goud also addressed allegations against BRS leader KTR regarding the Formula-E race, stating that action would be taken if irregularities are found. A Congress press release quoted him as saying that action would be taken as per law if BRS leader K T Rama Rao is found to have committed any irregularities in connection with conducting Formula-E race in Hyderabad during the previous BRS regime.
