Early on Sunday morning, Cyclone Fengal passed over the Puducherry and North Tamil Nadu beaches. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), that within the next few hours, it is predicted to continue in its west-southwest direction and weaken into a deep depression. At Chennai and Karaikal, the Doppler Weather Radar continuously monitors the system.
