Congress Leader Jairam Ramesh attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday after his claims that “he is human and not God” and is prone to mistakes in a podcast held by Nikhil Kamath, a co-founder of Zerodha.

Jairam Ramesh asserted that Modi was now repairing the damage after declaring himself to be “non-biological.” Congress MP responded to the comments by claiming that the Prime Minister, who had “proclaimed his non-biological status” prior to the 2024 Lok Sabha election, was the source of the statement. Ramesh was alluding to Modi’s statement that he had been “sent by God” during an interview.

This comes from a man who, only eight months ago, declared himself to be non-biological. Ramesh shared a video of PM Modi’s previous interview on post media, writing, “This is obviously damage control.”

In his first podcast, which was made public on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that, although he may make mistakes in his life, he will never do anything badly out of hatred.

In the teaser posted by Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha and podcast host, Modi when questioned about his previous remarks made when serving as Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Prime Minister Modi remarked, “I said something in an insensitive way. Mistakes happen. I am human, not a God.”

The Prime Minister stated that everyone makes errors, including himself, in the more than two-hour-long podcast that was posted to YouTube on Friday.
