The External Affairs Minister of India S Jaishankar has expressed his concern and consideration in business circles in accordance with Donald Trump’s impact while was addressing the CII Partnership Summit 2024 on the theme of ‘India and the World’ in New Delhi, yesterday. However, it’s true that India and the US, strategic ties have only grown over time.
United States President-elect Trump set to take office on January 20, reacting to this, S Jaishankar has expressed his doubt and predicted a “degree of unpredictability” for Trump’s second term. He added that in past years, there have been reliable partnerships, both in economic or technology domains. He further stated that in any economic conversation, FTAs inevitably arise as a possible avenue of partnership. He emphasized that the global nature of supply chains and business, standard safeguards aren’t always sufficient. However, it would be foolish to restrict access and pass up chances.
In reality, the economies and societies of the US and India are more intertwined than ever.
