In a significant operation, the Delhi Police have deported 15 illegal Bangladeshi nationals, including a family of eight, for illegally residing in the capital. The deported individuals include Jahangir, his wife, and their six children, as well as Mohd Umor Faruk, Riyaj Miyan (also known as Remon Khan), and five women.

The deportation process was carried out in coordination with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO). According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Surendra Choudhary, the Vasant Kunj South police station team conducted door-to-door verifications of 400 families in Rangpuri as part of intensified efforts to address concerns about unauthorized migrants.

During the verification drive, Jahangir and his family were identified and confessed to their Bangladeshi origins during questioning. The family had destroyed their Bangladeshi identification documents to avoid detection.

In a separate operation, the south district police apprehended seven people from Bangladesh near Arjan Garh metro station. The individuals, who were detained on Saturday, disclosed during interrogation that they had illegally migrated from Bangladesh.

The Delhi Police’s crackdown on illegal immigration comes amid growing concerns about unauthorized migrants in the capital. The police have been conducting regular raids and checks to identify and deport illegal immigrants.
