Ahead of the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday accused the BJP and Congress of being part of a covert, behind-the-scenes alliance.
Kejriwal in a press conference on Saturday alleged an alliance between Congress and BJP. He said, “Congress and BJP should officially announce that they are contesting this election together in alliance against Aam Admi Party”. Claiming the covert, behind-the-scenes alliance to be erroneous he stated, “It is not right to make an alliance together behind the backs of people”
He further criticized Congress and stated that apart from a few media persons no one takes Congress seriously. Once, a member of the INDIA bloc, the rift between the Congress and AAP widened following their failure to form an alliance in the Haryana polls.
This gap between the two parties grew larger due to the ‘anti-national’ remarks made against Kejriwal by senior Congress leader Ajay Maken. To this, AAP demanded action against Maken and urged the other parties in the INDIA bloc to boycott Congress.
Countering BJP, AAP claimed that the party at the center does not have any chief minister face or any achievement of themselves to talk about. He alleged their agenda to be accusing AAP.
The remarks by Kejriwal follow the incident of protests by a woman outside Kejriwal’s residence in Firozshah Road, Delhi demanding the monthly payment of Rs 1000 as promised by the AAP-led Punjab government. Kejriwal claimed the women to be from BJP and Congress and assured that the women of Punjab supports him.
