New Delhi, June 28:
A 20-year-old man lost his life in a shocking act of violence in Delhi’s Geeta Colony area on Friday night, following a minor dispute that arose when his scooter accidentally brushed past one of the accused. Police have arrested three men in connection with the case.

The victim, identified as Yash, a resident of Rani Garden, was reportedly returning home when his scooter made contact with a man named Rihan, leading to a heated verbal exchange. According to police, the situation quickly escalated when Rihan, along with his associates Mohammad Amaan and Lucky, confronted Yash aggressively.

During the confrontation, the three accused began to chase Yash towards the Geeta Colony Pusta flyover. As per a senior police officer, Amaan allegedly stabbed Yash in the lower back during the pursuit. Locals present at the scene rushed Yash to a nearby hospital in Laxmi Nagar, but he was declared dead around 9:41 pm.

Authorities were alerted immediately, and a murder case was registered. The police moved swiftly and arrested all three accused — Rihan, Amaan, and Lucky — who are now in custody. An investigation is underway to determine the sequence of events and whether any prior enmity was involved.

This tragic incident has raised concerns about public safety and how minor street altercations can spiral into fatal violence. The police are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area and collecting eyewitness accounts as part of the ongoing probe.

Residents of the area have expressed shock and anger, calling for stronger preventive policing and awareness about conflict resolution.

“Such incidents show how quickly a minor incident can turn into a tragedy. We are committed to ensuring justice for the victim,” said a senior police official.

Yash’s family is devastated and demanding strict punishment for the accused.
