Donald Trump Rebukes Joe Biden’s Pardon For Son Hunter

Donald Trump questioned whether the inmates held in connection with the January 6 Capitol riot, who have already been imprisoned for years, were included in US President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son, Hunter Biden. Pointing to those imprisoned, Donald Trump, strongly objected and called it as “miscarriage of justice”.

Hunter Biden, who had been found guilty of tax infractions and firearm offenses. Hunter Biden will not be sentenced for these offenses, and the pardon eliminates the chance of jail time. Biden’s pardon covers all potential offenses committed by his son, Hunter Biden between 2014 and 2024.Biden’s term is coming to an end in January 2025, so he used his Presidential power to save his son. Earlier, he proclaimed not granting pardon but later, took a U-turn.

Trump and his allies have referred to those who were imprisoned for their involvement in the January 6, 2021 rioting on Capitol Hill as the “J6 hostages,” arguing that they were acting in a peaceful and patriotic manner. He stated that such a decision is not in favour of any country. Trump called it an “abuse” of the American justice system and Biden as the “worst American President”.
