Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and foreign minister, Milhail Popsoi, concluded a successful two-day visit to India. He met with India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr.S.Jaishankar.
Together they inaugurated the newly made Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in New Delhi.
The two Ministers had bilateral talks, assessing the entire span of India and Moldova relations, including political, trade, cultural, and people-to-people ties. They signed some key agreements during the visit including a declaration of intent on a migration and mobility partnership, a framework agreement for Moldova to join the international solar alliance, and a memorandum of understanding for enhanced cooperation in diplomat training.
India and Moldova have been friends since 1992. They will work together on international issues and the Indian community in Moldova, including students act as a living bridge fostering strong people-to-people connections.
